This training will prepare volunteers to participate in voter registration drives during the 2018 election cycle. We will take a deep dive into all aspects of voter registration including proof of residency, key timelines, voter eligibility, and special circumstances including college student, homeless, indefinitely confined, and confidential voters. Come prepared to do some role playing and mock registrations.
1.) Pretend you are registering yourself or another person by completing the Voter Registration Form (http://bit.ly/2DJuO4L). Consult the instructions on the back of the form if you have questions.
2.) Familiarize yourself with the MyVote website (https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/) to understand how to navigate the different features. If you haven’t already, watch this 20 minute video (https://vimeo.com/198382460) about using MyVote website to do online voter registration.
This training is in follow-up to the January trainings hosted by Chippewa Valley Votes. But, if you did not attend the previous training in January, that’s okay! The above homework should get you caught up.
