We are a non-partisan volunteer-based voter assistance effort working across three counties in west-central Wisconsin (Chippewa, Dunn, and Eau Claire counties) seeking to register, educate, and advocate for voters during the 2018 elections.
Our goals are…
- Remove barriers to voting and expand access to the ballot box.
- Reduce confusion surrounding voting laws and rules.
- Promote a culture of voting and civic engagement.
Our volunteers will conduct voter outreach in places such a libraries, farmers markets, campuses, nursing homes, and county fairs. In doing so, we focus our efforts on underserved voter groups such as low-income, homeless, students, elderly, and non-English speakers. During an age of voter suppression, we work to empower voters.
“Every American citizen must have an equal right to vote. There is no reason which can excuse the denial of that right. There is no duty which weighs more heavily on us than the duty we have to ensure that right.” -Lyndon Johnson
