Voter Assistance Trainings – January 8th & 9th

Because every voter deserves a voice…

Learn how you can help voters navigate increasingly complex election rules that may prevent them from casting a ballot. Join Molly McGrath (ACLU voting rights program) and Melissa Kono (election trainer and town clerk) to learn about voter registration and voter photo ID.

This training will provide you with information to assist those who may need extra help getting registered or acquiring an ID including homeless, student, elderly, ex-felon, and low-income voters.

  • Monday, January 8th 5:30-7:30pm, Menomonie Public Library, Menomonie, WI (link to Facebook event)
  • Tuesday, January 9th 6-8pm, LE Phillips Public Library, Eau Claire, WI (link to Facebook event)
  • Note: The same content will be covered at each training session in Eau Claire and Menomonie. It is not necessary to attend both sessions.

Experts project that in Wisconsin alone, 300,000 eligible voters lack the ID necessary to cast a ballot. Across the country, 32 states have some form of voter ID law, creating a crisis of disenfranchisement not seen since the civil rights era.
